Microneedling with exosomes

What is it?

Microneedling is different from injecting; it’s a process which creates tiny punctures, opening up thousands of microscopic channels via which nutrients from exosomes travel deep into the skin’s layers. It’s a procedure proven to support optimal collagen production and deliver maximum results.

What are Exosomes?

Essentially, they’re natural messengers. Often deriving from stem cells, they communicate with other cells, helping to reduce inflammation, boost collagen production and speed up healing. Enabling them to travel further and faster means firmer skin with better texture, reduced appearance of wrinkles, as well as improvements in post-acne scarring, hyperpigmentation and rosacea.

How does it work?

Properly and professionally used, which of course we do at Armada Aesthetics, it’s a technique which accelerates the body’s natural healing processes. It achieves this by stimulating the production of collagen and elastin (meaning firmer, smoother skin), repairing damaged skin barriers (making it stronger and more resilient) and enhancing its overall health.

What happens during the treatment?

The procedure itself uses a micro-needle device – it looks like a pen covered in tiny needles – to create the many micro-punctures in your skin through which the exosomes can travel, send their messages and accelerate all your skin’s natural healing, firming and repairing processes. During or straight after the treatment, your skin might feel warm or tight, similar to a mild sunburn.

What happens after the treatment?

You’re likely to experience some temporary redness and sensitivity, as well as (perhaps) some minor swelling. You should steer clear of make-up, hot showers or intense workouts for 24 hours, and think of the first 48 or so as downtime, generally. But after that, you’ll start to notice visible skin improvement.

It is recommended to have 3 initial sessions, one month apart, and then maintain once every 8-12 weeks.

To sum up

This treatment will:

  • Accelerate and promote collagen and elastin production

  • Lift and firm your skin

  • Help with acne scarring, wrinkles, fine lines and sun damage

  • Reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation and rosacea.
